“The Thomas Man, Bad Tölz Compost/Fermentation Chicken Coop“.
A proposal for a new public sculpture in Bad Tölz to celebrate Thomas Man’s fascination with his own gut health and bowel movements. The sculpture combines a human waste composting toilet, mushroom growing, dry composting, hot composting, vermiculture, and insect habitat wrapped around a central chicken coop. The design allows for beneficial mutual and sustainable support between insects, humans, chickens and worms.
The proposal is to situate the permanent sculpture in a prominent public place in Bad Tölz.
The Dixie toilet acts as a frame or is pedestal to present the proposal to the people of Bad Tölz.
